If your XP(Service Pack 2)/2000/2003 computer is set to receive Automatic Updates via the internet, no action is necessary.
If you are using an Operating System other than the three mentioned above, such as NT/'98; OR, if your computer is not setup to Automatically update; OR, if your computer is not connected to the internet at all; THEN, you have the following two options:
1. RECOMMENDED: You can download the DST update for 2000/XPproSP2/2003 Operating systems at Windows Update
, download the update, copy it to the computer and manually install it as per Microsoft's instructions. In order to accurately determine the Operating System on the PC, you can right click on My Computer, left click on Properties and the Operating System and Service Pack information will be displayed. NT/'98 computers must follow step two below as NT/'98 are no longer Microsoft supported Operating Systems. XPpro users must either be on Service Pack 2 or upgrade to Service Pack 2 prior to installing the update.
2. Alternative: You can manually change the Time Sunday morning, March 11th (provided Start Point of Sale is not Running) and then watch to see if you need to change it back in three weeks when DST used to go into effect (again, Start Point of Sale cannot be running when you make the time change). Do be aware, that if you manually make the adjustment, you will need to manually change the time back in November and continue manually adjusting until the Windows update is installed.

The instructions for changing in Maitre'D are the same as Squirrel for the Back Office Computer (detailed above). However, in addition to changing the DST on the Back Office computer, each Terminal will need to be updated in the same manner. Perform these changes prior to any Sales being rung up on the system.
